Query related to Registration

1.Q - Where and how can we register online?
A – You can register On-line from 1st June 2015 to 14th June 2015 on the website http://www.itidelhiadmissions.nic.in.

2.Q- From Where do I get the prospectus for 2015 Admissions?
A – You can get the softcopy of the Prospectus on the website http://www.itidelhiadmissions.nic.in and the copy of the same is downloadable.

3.Q - Do I need to apply separately for different trades?
A - No, only a single registration is sufficient for all trades and for all Govt. ITI’s.

4.Q – What is DI?
A – DI means Designated Institute, only Govt. ITI’s where the candidates have to go for the verification and submission of registration fee. All the registered Government-ITI’s are DI’s.

5.Q – What is PI?
A – PI means Participating Institute, any Govt. ITI where the candidates have to report for the admission after allotment of seat available.

6.Q - I do not have regular access to internet or computer? Is it compulsory to fill the online form or can I use the physical form?
A - It is compulsory to fill an On-line Admission Form, no off-line form will be available.

7.Q - Do I need an E-mail ID for filling online application?
A - No, but you need to mention your mobile number for receiving SMS related to admission.

8.Q - Whom do I contact for technical support for my online application?
A - The helpline numbers are available on the website moreover the helpdesk is provided at all govt. ITI’s.

9.Q - Does on-line registration close at 5:30 PM on the last date or at midnight on the last date?
A - On-line registration will close at 11:59 midnight on the last date of submission.

10. Q - How do I know that my on-line registration is successful? Do I get any acknowledgement upon submission of on-line form?
A - After the submission of the form computer will generate be issued a registration number which needs to be remembered for future reference. However, you may login with your user id (i.e. Registration number) & the password (recorded at the time of filling the form) to view the submitted form/application. You will also receive SMS. After successful registration the candidate can any time take out the print of his/her online form.

11. Q- Can I Fill in the registration form through my mobile phone?
A- Yes, by login at website http://www.itidelhiadmissions.nic.in.

12. Q - Are marks of the qualifying exams considered for admission?
A - Yes, only marks of qualifying exams are considered for admission

13. Q - How do I get Registration Number and password after filling the form?
A- The Registration number will be generated only after the successful submission of the registration form and the password will remain the same as created during registration by you.

14. Q –What can i do, if I forget an Online Registration number/password?
A - You have an option “Forgot Registration Number” and “Forgot Password” to retrieve the same on home page.

15. Q - Who can apply for these courses?
A - Any Citizens of India having required qualification and above 14 years of age as on 01-08-2015.

16. Q - I have passed 10th Class examination from NIOS. How will I be considered for Delhi/ Outside Delhi category?
A – The candidate whose Examination Centre was in Delhi will be considered as Delhi Candidate else will be treated as other state candidate.

17. Q- What is the minimum qualification/eligibility for admission in ITI Courses?
A - Please refer the Content No. 3.2 of the Prospectus 2015.

Query Related to Verification

18. Q - Do I need to bring any document at the time of verification?
A – Yes, you have to bring one set of self attested photocopies of all the relevant documents along with their originals at the time of verification. Refer the Prospectus 2015 available on the website.

19. Q - I have submitted my application and realized I have mistyped some data. What can I do?
A - You can yourself edit your particulars using your Login ID (i.e. registration number) & Password issued to you.

20. Q-Is there any verification fee?
A- Yes, you have to pay Rs. 200/- as the verification fee. Which is non refundable.

(1) Registration fee Rs. 200/- to be deposited by all students including girls at the time of verification of documents at any government ITI’s (except ITI Mangolpuri), by Cash.

(2) After admission the Girls admitted in women and co-ed. ITI/BTC are exempted from Government fee component.

(3) The following dues are payable by the candidates i.e. Caution Money & Tuition Fees.

* The exemption from payment of Tuition Fee component under Government Account in ITIs/BTC for the SC/ST as mentioned above.

** Caution Money is refundable only after successful completion of the Training.

(a) FOR TRADES WHERE ADMISSION QUALIFICATION IS 10TH CLASS PASSED WITH SCIENCE & MATHEMATICS.

(i) In case of Grade Points are given:- The aggregate percentage of marks of all the subjects including optional subjects after conversion from Grade Points shall be taken into account for preparation of Merit, provided the candidate fulfills the requisite subject’s conditions of Science & Mathematics. For CBSE students it will be calculated as Grade Points x 9.5, incase both grade points and marks are given by the board then the candidate must fill marks. In case of CBSE, if grades E1 or E2 are given then their corresponding grade points will be deemed as ‘3’ for ‘E1’ grade and ‘2’ for ‘E2’. If a candidate is absent in a subject then his grade points would be deemed as 0.

(ii) In case of Marks are given:- The aggregate percentage of marks of all the subjects including optional subjects of 10th Class shall be taken into account for preparation of Merit, provided the candidate fulfills
the requisite subject’s conditions of Science & Mathematics.

(b) FOR TRADES WHERE ADMISSION QUALIFICATION IS 10TH CLASS PASSED WITH SCIENCE

The candidates can register for online admission from any of the internet access points through the Website http://www.itidelhiadmissions.nic.in.

For registering the candidate would have to click the “NEW CANDIDATE REGISTRATION” option available on the home page of the web site and then fill his correct details.

The candidate should be extra careful while filling the following details as these details would be further used for calculating his rank and further allotment of seat. If any erroneous/incorrect information is later found, it could lead to cancellation of seat allotted to the candidate and other necessary actions may be taken against him as deemed fit by the ITI/CAO/DTTE. The details are:-

Candidates qualifying Marks/Grade: While registering the candidate would have to first click on the correct radio button according to whether his/her certificates are in grades or marks. Under no circumstances the candidate should fill marks in grades column or vice a versa.

While filling in his marks or grades the candidate should enter all subject marks. If a candidate is absent in an exam then he must enter it also and show him as fail. In case of CBSE, if grades E1 OR E2 are given then their corresponding grade points will be deemed as 3 for E1 grade and 2 for E2. If a candidate is absent in a subject then his grade points would be deemed as 0. The candidate has to compulsorily select E1, E2 and A in relevant subject if he/she has received these grades in the qualifying examination applicable.

State of Candidate: As per I.T.I admission policy the state of the candidate is one from which he/she has acquired the qualification. Like if a candidate stays in Delhi but has passed his qualifying examination from any place other than Delhi then he/she would be considered outside Delhi candidate and if a candidate passes his qualifying examination from Delhi and stays outside Delhi even then he/she would be considered Delhi candidates. A candidate could be Delhi candidate in one qualification (8th or 10th) and outside Delhi from other qualification.

Candidate should enter his name, father’s name, mother’s name and date of birth exactly as mentioned in his qualifying certificate.

30% seats are reserved for women in co-ed institutes so gender column should be correctly filled by the candidate. If a male fills him as female then he may be allotted a seat as a woman and on detection his admission would get cancelled. Similarly female filling herself as male will stand to loose her 30% reservation in male institutes and admission in all women courses and institutes.

Age Limit

Minimum age limit is 14 years for all the candidates as on 01-08-2015. No Upper age limit is prescribed for the candidates seeking admission in Government ITIs/BTC.

Physical Fitness

All the candidates shall be required to submit a Medical Fitness Certificate from a Registered Medical Practitioner as per Annexure- I at the time of admission.

SEATS RESERVATIONS

A. Candidates passing qualifying examination from Delhi Schools. 90%
B. Candidates passing qualifying examination from other states Schools. 9%
C. Wards of J&K migrants, (has to be registered with D.C. Office Delhi). 1%

RESERVATION CATEGORY-WISE

1) Female Candidates (all Co-ed ITI’s) 30%
2) Scheduled Castes 15%
3) Scheduled Tribes 7.5%
4) Other Backward Classes 15%
5) Physically disabled as defined under the Person with Disabilities Act, 1995 Will have to get their candidature fitness certificate by VRC in the Prescribed Pro-forma, given at Annexure VI 3%##
6) Defence Personnel: reserved for widows / wards of Military / Para Military personnel (CRPF, ITBP, BSF, CISF, NSG & Assam Rifles) in the following order of preference: 5%

(a) Widows/wards of defence personnel killed in action.
(b) Wards of serving personnel &ex-servicemen disabled in action.
(c) Widows/wards of defence personnel who died in peacetime with death attributable to military service.
(d) Wards of defence personnel disabled in peacetime with disability attributable to military service.
(e) Wards of ex-servicemen and serving personnel who are in receipt of Gallantry Awards.
(f) Wards of ex-servicemen
(g) Wards of serving personnel.

Note: -Candidates seeking admission under Defence Personnel quota will have to get their candidature certified by any of the following authorities in the prescribed Pro-forma given at Annexure VII:

(i) Secretary, Kendriya Sainik Board, Delhi.
(ii) Secretary, Rajya / ZilaSainik Board.
(iii) Officer-in-Charge, Record Office of concerned service for serving personnel.

7) NCC Cadets: These seats are reserved on the basis of inter-se merit among the National Cadet Corps certificate holders of a given certificate level. Candidates with ‘C’ Certificate will be given higher priority over those candidates having ‘B’ certificate, which in-turn, will be given a higher priority over those with ‘A’ Certificate. 1%**

8) Staff Wards of non-transferrable staff of all institutions functioning under Department of Training and Technical Education. 1%*#

9) Wards of Delhi Police and Govt. of NCT of Delhi employees 2.5%$

10) Direct admission to inmates of Social Welfare licensed institutes including Bal Sahyog.

WEIGHTAGE

1. Rural Area candidate subject to condition that both the school and residence of the candidate should be located in rural area of Delhi. - 5% of aggregate marks
