Query related to Registration
1.Q - Where and how can we register online?
A – You can register On-line from 1st June 2015 to 14th June 2015 on the
website http://www.itidelhiadmissions.nic.in.
2.Q- From Where do I get the prospectus for 2015 Admissions?
A – You can get the softcopy of the Prospectus on the website http://www.itidelhiadmissions.nic.in
and the copy of the same is downloadable.
3.Q - Do I need to apply separately for different trades?
A - No, only a single registration is sufficient for all trades and for all
Govt. ITI’s.
4.Q – What is DI?
A – DI means Designated Institute, only Govt. ITI’s where the candidates have to
go for the verification and submission of registration fee. All the registered
Government-ITI’s are DI’s.
5.Q – What is PI?
A – PI means Participating Institute, any Govt. ITI where the candidates have to
report for the admission after allotment of seat available.
6.Q - I do not have regular access to internet or computer? Is it
compulsory to fill the online form or can I use the physical form?
A - It is compulsory to fill an On-line Admission Form, no off-line form will be
available.
7.Q - Do I need an E-mail ID for filling online application?
A - No, but you need to mention your mobile number for receiving SMS related to
admission.
8.Q - Whom do I contact for technical support for my online application?
A - The helpline numbers are available on the website moreover the helpdesk is
provided at all govt. ITI’s.
9.Q - Does on-line registration close at 5:30 PM on the last date or at
midnight on the last date?
A - On-line registration will close at 11:59 midnight on the last date of
submission.
10. Q - How do I know that my on-line registration is successful? Do I get
any acknowledgement upon submission of on-line form?
A - After the submission of the form computer will generate be issued a
registration number which needs to be remembered for future reference. However,
you may login with your user id (i.e. Registration number) & the password
(recorded at the time of filling the form) to view the submitted
form/application. You will also receive SMS. After successful registration the
candidate can any time take out the print of his/her online form.
11. Q- Can I Fill in the registration form through my mobile phone?
A- Yes, by login at website http://www.itidelhiadmissions.nic.in.
12. Q - Are marks of the qualifying exams considered for admission?
A - Yes, only marks of qualifying exams are considered for admission
13. Q - How do I get Registration Number and password after filling the
form?
A- The Registration number will be generated only after the successful
submission of the registration form and the password will remain the same as
created during registration by you.
14. Q –What can i do, if I forget an Online Registration number/password?
A - You have an option “Forgot Registration Number” and “Forgot Password” to
retrieve the same on home page.
15. Q - Who can apply for these courses?
A - Any Citizens of India having required qualification and above 14 years of
age as on 01-08-2015.
16. Q - I have passed 10th Class examination from NIOS. How will I be
considered for Delhi/ Outside Delhi category?
A – The candidate whose Examination Centre was in Delhi will be considered as
Delhi Candidate else will be treated as other state candidate.
17. Q- What is the minimum qualification/eligibility for admission in ITI
Courses?
A - Please refer the Content No. 3.2 of the Prospectus 2015.
Query Related to Verification
18. Q - Do I need to bring any document at the time of verification?
A – Yes, you have to bring one set of self attested photocopies of all the
relevant documents along with their originals at the time of verification. Refer
the Prospectus 2015 available on the website.
19. Q - I have submitted my application and realized I have mistyped some
data. What can I do?
A - You can yourself edit your particulars using your Login ID (i.e.
registration number) & Password issued to you.
20. Q-Is there any verification fee?
A- Yes, you have to pay Rs. 200/- as the verification fee. Which is non
refundable.
21. Q-Is there any relaxation for the SC/ST/OBC or any other quota
Candidate in Verification Fee?
A- No, All the candidate have to pay the registration fee of Rs. 200/-
22. Q- If I forget or loose a copy of my Online Registration Form, Can I
visit the ITI for the Verification?
A- Yes, the candidate can take one set of self attested photocopies of all the
relevant documents along with their originals for verification.
Query related to expenses/fee
23. Q - Is there any fee exemption for female candidate?
A – Yes, All female candidates are exempted of Government component (Tuition Fee
& Non-Tuition Fee), However the Registration fee of Rs. 200/- will be applicable
at the time of verification and an amount of
Rs. 700/- towards the Pupil Fund and Caution Money will be payable at the time
of final admission. (Please ref. the fee structure in the Prospectus 2015)
24. Q - What is the total fee for any course in ITI ?
A - Please refer the fee structure mentioned in the Prospectus 2015 at Content
no. 11.
25. Q - Should I need to pay the admission / tuition fee at the time of
counselling / admission?
A – Yes, You have to pay the fee only at the time of reporting to the institute
after seat allotment.
26. Q - Will I get a total refund, if I withdraw my admission?
A- No the entire fee will be forfeited in case of withdrawal/cancellation of
seat by the candidate.
27. Q - Can we make the payment through debit and credit card?
A – No, the payment has to be submitted in Cash only at the Designated
Institute.
28. Q - Is there any registration amount relaxation for reserved
categories / BPL?
A –No, Registration fee is applicable for all.
29. Q - Is there a fee for counselling?
A – No, There is no fee or counselling.
30. Q-Is Registration fee refundable , in any case?
A- No, Registration fee is non refundable.
Query related to Choice preferences
31. Q – What is choice selection?
A – This option is active only after the verification by the DI and it enables
the candidate to select/Opt for the trades and institute in his/her order of
preference for the admission.
32. Q – Can I change my preference order?
A – Yes, you can change your preference order within stipulated time period
only.
33. Q- How many choices can I fill in my option?
A- Candidate can fill as many choices of trade/Institutes are offered.
34. Q-Do I need to fill different form for getting engineering and
nonengineering trades?
A- No , the candidate can fill only one form.
35. Q-Will I get chance to reshuffle my trade choices doing Counselling
process?
A - The schedule for the same will be intimated on the website time to time.
Query related to Counselling
36. Q - Is there any management / donation quota?
A –No management/donation quota.
37. Q - Is there any weight-age of higher academic qualification /
vocational subjects?
A - No weight-age of higher academic qualification / vocational subjects.
38. Q - How the selection is made?
A - Selection is made purely on Merit Base of the Qualifying Exam and the Rank
will be displayed on the web site, the counselling will be made as per the
schedule.
39. Q - Will all applicants be considered for counselling?
A – Yes, all the eligible applicants will be considered for counselling
subjected to condition that seats are available.
40. Q - How will I know that I have been selected?
A - The selected candidate will be communicated through SMS, he/she is also
directed to keep himself/herself updated with online counselling schedule lists.
41. Q – When will the counselling/admission start?
A – It will start as per the Schedule mentioned on the website from time to
time.
42. Q - How is the percentage of marks calculated with respect to CGPA and
for merit?
A – Kindly refer the Prospectus 2015 content no. 10.
43. Q - If the Marks/Rank of some candidates is same, who will get the
preference?
A – In case of tie due to percentage of qualifying exam, candidate elder in age
will get preference and if still there is tie than the marks/grade of Science
subject will be considered for Engineering Trades and Social Studies subject for
Non-Engineering Trades.
44. Q-What if I did not reported in first round of counselling?
A- Reporting in counselling round is a must.
45. Q- Can I upgrade my trade for the next round of counselling?
A- Yes the candidate can opt the upgrading for the next round of counselling
(Pl. Refer schedule on website)
46. Q-Is there any fee for the up gradation of trades for next counselling?
A- Yes, the security fee of Rs. 500/- is to be deposited at the time of up
gradation.
47. Q-Is there any girl reservation seat in ITI trades?
A–Yes, Kindly refer the Prospectus 2015 content no. 10.
General Queries
48. Q- Do I need to bring any document at the time of admission?
A – Yes, you have to bring one set of self attested photocopies of all the
relevant documents along with their originals and the copy of admission slip at
the time of admission.
49. Q - Is there any special relaxation for taking leaves for
married/divorced candidate?
A - Only Special leave up to 10 days on private affairs may be allowed only in
extraordinary cases where Head of institute is satisfied that the requirement is
genuine. No scholarship/stipend will be admissible during the period of special
leave.
50. Q - Will I get hostel allotment at the time of admission?
A – No, you need to apply separately from your Institute for the hostel
accommodation is available.
51. Q - Can I take back the original documents?
A - Yes, only after thorough verification by the admitted institute.
52. Q – Is there any assistance for Placement?
A – Yes, each institute has a Placement Cell.
53. Q - Can I get syllabus for ITI trades Online?
A - Syllabus is available at DGE&T website www.dget.gov.in for NCVT affiliated
trades and for SCVT trades the syllabus are available in the library of the
institute.
54. Q - Is there any dress code?
A - Trainee shall get stitched two sets of prescribed uniform as approved by
D.T.T.E. (HQ) within 7 days from the date of admission and shall wear the same
daily right from his/her residence till reaching back to
the residence.
55. Q - Can I get admission in more than one course at the same period?
A – No.
56. Q - What is the intake of trainees in individual trades?
A - Intake capacity of trainees in individual trades institute wise is available
in Prospectus 2015 under the Content no. 3.1
57. Q - Is there any financial support for students (belonging to low
income group) during training period?
A - No financial support is available. However, a trainee can submit an
application for fee waiver to the Principal in case of family financial
problems.
58. Q - What are the Courses conducted by the Institute?
A – Detail of courses is mentioned in Prospectus 2015 at Content No. 3.
59. Q - How many seats are admitted every year in each course?
A - Please refer to Prospectus 2015 Content No. 3.
60. Q - What is the minimum qualification/eligibility for these courses?
A - Please refer to Prospectus 2015 Content No. 3.
61. Q – What is an upper Age limit for admission?
A – There is no upper age limit.
62. Q - What are the steps taken to prevent ragging at institute?
A – Ragging is not permitted, action will be taken as per Govt. rules and
Anti-Ragging committee has been constituted in each institute. However, if any
incident of ragging comes to the notice of the authority, the concerned trainee
may be given the opportunity to explain and if his/her explanation is not found
satisfactory, the authority would expel him from the institution.
63. Q - What is NCVT/SCVT?
A – NCVT stands for National Council of Vocational Training an affiliating body
of DGE&T, Ministry of Labor & Employment, Government of India. SCVT stands for
State Council of Vocational Training an affiliation body of Board of Technical
Education, Government of NCT of Delhi.
64. Q - Will I get a DTC pass/ railway concession?
A – Yes, DTC & Railway Concession facility are available in Govt-ITIs except to
the trainees of BTC Pusa and ITI Mangolpuri (railway concession form will be
available in both institute).
65. Q - I am a foreign candidate. How can I get admission in ITI?
A - No Provision of admission for Foreign Candidates.
66. Q - What is the validity of character certificate?
A - Character Certificate should be attested by Gazetted officer /Principal of
the last school attended. Its validity is for 6 months.
67. Q - What would be the last date for On-line submission of application?
A - The last date of submission of On-line Application is 16th June 2015.
68. Q - My father is a Delhi Government employee and I have completed my
qualifying examination from Other State. Am I eligible for Delhi Govt. Quota?
A – No, you will be treated as other state Candidate as criteria is on the basis
of qualifying exam.
69. Q - Which departments are eligible for Delhi Government quota?
A - All departments of NCT of Delhi Government and Delhi Police. However, their
wards should have qualified from Delhi State only.
70. Q – When will the classes start?
A - The classes will commence w.e.f. 1st August 2015.
71. Q – What are the timings of the Institutes?
A – Normal timing is from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm for most of the institute.
72. Q - Scope after passing out i.e. lateral entry scheme?
A – Kindly refer to Prospectus 2015 Content no. 4.6
73. Q - Are there any scholarships available for the trainees?
A – Kindly refer to Prospectus 2015, Content no. 12 part 6.
74. Q- Are you providing any books/study material during training period,
and is there any fee for it?
A-No, as such book/study materials are provided during training period
