(Notification) Actuarial Common Entrance Test (ACET) EXAM - 2016
Institute of Actuaries of India (IAI), Mumbai invites applications for the Actuarial Common Entrance Test (ACET) for the academic year 2016.
Institute of Actuaries of India had started conducting its Entrance Exam which is ACET from January 2012. There is a change in the structure of ACET examination from June 2016-exam diet
The exam will be held at least twice in a year. As of now, the planned months are May and November Candidates please note that before applying online you should ensure their eligibility and other condition for the academic year 2016-17
Eligibility Criteria:
Students who have appeared or passed the 10+2 examination or an equivalent examination with English as one of the subjects at 10+2 level at the time of registering for ACET (Not only science students)
Nevertheless, it is expected that many of those who are already in education at higher levels and also those working and having qualifications in mathematical subjects would take up the examinations
Exam Pattern:
The exam will have multiple-choice questions with one correct answer for each question. The exam will be conducted online at a pre-selected test center at a specified time The exam will be a three hour, 100 marks online exam that will have 70 multiple-choice questions with one correct answer for each question
The questions for Section-I i.e. Mathematics, Statistics and Data Interpretation will contain 55% of weightage and Section-II i.e. English and Logical Reasoning will contains 45% of weightage
The total distribution of questions would be:
a. 45 questions - 1 mark each
b. 20 questions - 2 marks each
c. 05 questions - 3 marks each
After successful registration, students will be able to download the sample question paper for the examination. However, the names of the reference books will be provided to the students
The syllabus will include the questions for:
Section-I Mathematics, Statistics and Data
Interpretation having 55% of weightage and
Section-II English and Logical Reasoning having 45% of weightage

In which cities are the exam test centers available - Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Bangalore, Gurgaon, Chennai, Pune, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Faridabad, Chandigarh, Bhopal, Nagpur, Surat, Ranchi, Kochi, Bhubhaneshwar, Dehradun, Patna Vizag, Coimbatore, Baroda, Guwahati, Ludhiana and Raipur
Registration Fee:
The registration fee for the entrance exam is Rs.3000/- (three thousand only). This covers the cost of the Welcome Kit inclusive of one Sample Paper and Online Exam. The registration fee once paid is neither refundable nor can it be carried forward for the next ACET

- On filling up the Online Registration Form, you will receive a confirmation mail at your registered email id giving you the link to proceed further by giving other details, uploading your photograph and making payment of registration fees by Debit or Credit Card or Internet Banking.
Important Dates :
- Date of Registrations Start: 10th March 2016
- Date of Registrations Close: 09th April 2016
- Date of ACET Exam: 20th May 2016
- Date of Results: 10th June 2016
- Last Date to take Student Membership Admission (if wants to appear for September 2016 exam): 21st June 2016
