(Notification) All India Pre Veterinary Test (AIPVT) - 2016

AIPVT 2016, the All India Pre Veterinary Test was conducted by Veterinary Council of India as per the schedule given below. All India Pre Veterinary Test 2016 was held for admission to 15% seats in the Veterinary colleges for academic session 2016-2017. The All India Pre Veterinary Test, also known as CPVT is conducted by the VCI as various centers across the country. The three hour duration exam must be attempted and qualified in for admission to B.V.Sc. & A.H. courses.

Course offered:

Bachelor of Veterinary Sciences and Animal Husbandry. The duration of B.V.Sc. & A.H. degree course is spread over five complete academic years consisting of First, Second, Third, Fourth and Fifth Annual / Board examinations and a compulsory rotating internship of six months.

Eligibility:

  • The candidates should be an Indian National (except from the State of Jammu & Kashmir).
  • He/She has attained or will attain the age of Seventeen (17) years as on 31st December, 2016. Candidates attaining seventeen years on 1st of January, 2017 or later will not be eligible to appear at the AIPVT-2016.
  • The upper age limit for candidates seeking admission under 15% All India Quota and participating States Seats is 25 years as on 31st December, 2016. Further provided that this upper age limit shall be relaxed by a period of 5 (five) years for the candidates of Scheduled Castes/ Scheduled Tribes/Other Backward Classes.Candidate must be born on or between

    • 01/01/1987 to 01/01/2000 (SC/ST/OBC Category)
    • 01/01/1992 to 01/01/2000 (General Category)

Educational qualification:

  • Applicants seeking for AIPVT 2016 must have qualified 12th class or equivalent examination from any recognized institute or university of state /central.
  • Applicants should have passed the required examination with minimum of 50% marks in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Biotechnology and English. 40% for candidates belonging to reserve category i.e. SC/ST/OBC
  • Applicants pursuing for 12th examinations 2016 from the science discipline can also apply for the AIPVT entrance test 2016.
  • Applicant must be an Indian citizen except of the state of Jammu & Kashmir

Age Limit :

The Interested candidate should have completed 17 years of age and the age should not be exceeded than 25 years as on 31st December of 2016. The candidate belonging to reserve category will get age relaxation of 5 years i.e. for the ST/ SC/ OBC the maximum age limit will be 30 years.

Exam Pattern:

The examination consists of one paper containing 180 objective type questions (four options with single correct answer) from Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany &Zoology). The distribution of questions shall be as follows:

Syllabus:

The syllabus for the AIPVT 2016 entrance exam for Chemistry, Physics, Zoology and Botany will be based on syllabus followed for 10+1 and 10+2 level for India’s Boards or Universities. No other different syllabus is prescribed.

  • Application fee for General or OBC category candidates: Rs 1500/- (without late fees) & Rs 1500/-+Rs 750/- as late fee (with late fee)
  • Application fee for SC/ST/PH category candidates: Rs 750/- (without late fee) & Rs 750/-+Rs 750/- as late fee (with late fee)

How To Apply:

  • Visit the official website of Veterinary Council of India i.e. http://aipvt.vci.nic.in/aipvt/Welcome.aspx.
  • Read the instructions mentioned in the information brochure.
  • Now complete online registration and note down your registration number.
  • Now move further to apply for AIPVT 2016 through this registration number.
  • Next step is uploading your photograph, your and yours parents/Guardians signature, thumb impression and self declaration (if you belong to Jammu & Kashmir). All these documents should be in JPG format.
  • Remit the requisite *application fee by using Net Banking, Debit/Credit Card or e-challan.
  • Finally take four printout of the confirmation page.

  • Issue of Admit Cards : 18 Apr 2016
